Being a part of the first class to graduate isnt really a big deal to me. I mean if you really think about it our grade really does set the tone for how this school should operate, whether its how it should be in an art class or an academic one.

I think the hardest thing about being a dance choreographer is being afraid of what people will think of it. I already have a problem with overthinking things to begin with so that and worrying about what people will think. And as with any dance job, just getting a job in the first place because there are so many. -Dani Crivello, junior

Dancing to me is all about expression, you know the ability to be able to say what you feel only through the movements of your body. Its a truly beautiful thing when you can evoke emotion from a person without talking.

“Well, dance isn’t something you just do to do. You can be really flexible but be a terrible dancer. You could get the moves down perfectly but still be a terrible dancer. Dancing comes from within you. You have to take every life event, every birthday party, every bruise, every broken bone, every emotion, and put it into your body. It’s hard and takes getting older and gaining maturity and life experiences to get better. It gives a whole new meaning to practice makes perfect. Because… you’re practicing life.”   - Ashley Pavlige, junior

“My old school, people were really competitive about social stuff and there were a lot of cliques. But here it’s a lot smaller and everyone talks to each other. So it’s nice to not have a lot of awkwardness.” Jordan Siemens, sophomore

“I’m not looking forward to the responsibilities of being older. I think it’s more fun to be young, but it’s hard, because I want to be childish... like really childish sometimes, but I know as I get older I need to be more mature. So it’s like hard to find the right balance, as you get older.” Lainey Jester, eighth grade

“This year I really need to focus more on my arts. I mean, I really do play around a lot but when I need to get serious I am able to do so. This is the year man, I really feel like this is my year. I’m way more focused on my arts and work so I can do it.” Bryant Figueroa-Robnett, junior
