How to Look Good in a Photo

JuJu Vieth, Photo Editor

We all at one point in time looked less than appealing in a photo. Whether it was our school photo, or one with friends or family. However, with both of these there usually are no redos. So, how do you look your best in photos? If you don’t know, here’s how.

  1. Don’t stand with your whole body facing the camera. This may make your face look flat, which is generally unappealing in a photo.
  2. Instead, stand at an angle. This gives your face depth, and makes you look more appealing.
  3. To avoid a double chin, extend your chin out just a little past normal; in other words “turtle”. This also gives the photo more depth, which is what you want to look your best.
  4. Rest most of your weight on one leg. People look better when they do not have their weight evenly distributed.
  5. Dip one of your shoulders below the other to avoid having a double chin.
  6. Do your hair/make-up.
