Five Guys Burgers and Fries, a burger joint, has been around since 1986, when Jerry and Janie Murrell told their four sons, “Start a business or go to college.” The boys chose to start a business! The Murrell family opened the first “Five Guys” in Arlington, Virginia. Then after 17 years, in early 2003 Jerry and Janie Murrell along with their sons, began the franchise. Now they have over 1,000 locations in 47 states and 6 opened in Canada.

On April 25th I went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries for the first time. There are over ten locations in the St. Louis area. The one I went to is in the St. Louis Galleria, next to the Cheesecake Factory. When walking inside I was flooded with appetizing scents that made me even more hungry! As I approached the register the employees were smiling and seemed cheerful. This made the environment even more appealing!

When I finally got my food I sat at a table and enjoyed the music that played over head. I had ordered a burger and small fries, which were so delicious! My only complaint was the price, but after I tasted the food I thought it was worth it! Prices for burgers range from $5.00 to $9.00. If burgers aren’t your thing they have other food too, like hot dogs, sandwiches, fries, and drinks. And there are different type you can order; there are over 250,000 combinations you can chose from!
