Q: What is your title at GCAA?

“I am the sixth grade English teacher.”

Q: How many years have you been in education?

“This is my fourth year as a teacher.”

Q: Where did you get your certification/teaching degree?

“I got my degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.”

Q: Why did you decide to go into education?

“I like kids and learning, so I wanted to teach kids. It’s fun to learn.”

Q: Where did you work before getting a job at GCAA?

“I worked at Pattonville High School.”

Q: Why did you choose to accept a position at GCAA?

“I have a background in art and like this school’s focus on art and education integration.”

Q: How do you think your previous experience will benefit you as a teacher at GCAA?

“I have some experience in middle school, so I think that that will help me understand middle schoolers better.”

Q: What has been your favorite part of working at GCAA?

“I love meeting all the kids.”

Q: What has been the most challenging part of working at GCAA?

“Learning all the names hasn’t been easy.”

Q: What do you look forward to most this school year?

“I look forward to the new curriculum and teaching kids about fun stories.”
