“Raven’s Home”, the spinoff of the original Disney show “That’s So Raven”, (2003) is a fun, laid back show on Disney Channel. Raven Baxter lives in her own apartment with her childhood best friend Chelsea. At this point in time, Chelsea and Raven are both divorced. Raven’s ex-husband isn’t involved in the story, but Chelsea’s ex-husband is in jail. Chelsea has a son named Levi, who tries to be the peacemaker between the other kids. Raven also has two kids, named Booker and Nia Baxter. Nia has a best friend named Tess, their neighbor across the hall. Booker Baxter, her son, has inherited her psychic abilities. No one knows except for his siblings. This causes Nia to feel jealous and starts to question her specialties.

I would recommend this show because it manages to add some perpetual “family moments” in the end. “That’s So Raven” was a sitcom that showed a teenager trying to find her way in her crazy life while having her crazy visions. “Raven’s Home”, on the other hand, is a dynamic TV show that shows many family struggles. The struggles include anxiety, chaos, debt, and fears. When I say fears, I mean bullying, or trying to be something you’re not because the “Public Eye” wants you to be different. It relates to what others go through in life: two single moms trying to raise their children in one apartment. This represents the anxiety and the chaos.

I grew up watching “That’s So Raven”, and I feel that it has made an impact on kids – even me. I can relate to Raven and her life, and so can other teens who also grew up watching it, and other shows like “Hannah Montana,” “Cory in The House,” “Lizzie Mcguire”, and “Lilo and Stitch.” “Raven’s Home”, will answer long-wondered questions about Raven’s life. Since the series “That’s So Raven” has been around for a long time, and has made Disney history, I expect the same for “Raven’s Home”.

The set of “That’s So Raven” is very old school, yet very lively and bold, based on production elements. The lighting of the show presents a very homely atmosphere. The outfits of the whole show represents comfort – the clothing the actors wear sets the mood to how they feel, whether it is comfort, anger, or happiness. “Raven’s Home” is exciting and energetic compared to “That’s So Raven”, where the scenery is cool, calm, and collected.

I am anxiously looking forward to seeing the “That’s So Raven” gang again. Raven-Symone and Anneliese VanDerPol are back, and living their lives the way they want to as adults. I am really excited to be watching this, especially when I have grown up watching Disney shows almost all of my life. I have high hopes for this show. “Raven’s Home”, in my opinion, will be a legendary show . I want this spinoff to be as memorable as the original series.
