Unexpected Snow Day Leads To Unexpected Fun

With the first major snowfall of the year, seniors chose to spend the day out of the house. The message, “Sledding on art hill at 1?” was sent out through snapchat and texts. About two-to-four inches of snow fell over overnight, closing schools around the St. Louis Area. Although hundreds of people were sledding, snowboarding, and playing on the ice, over 20 students including underclassmen came along to join the fun. More of falling and tumbling than sledding, Lilja Michaud, 12, says, “It was pure bliss. There was a gathering of the different cliques in the senior class. Everyone was laughing and having fun, we were hanging with people we normally do not hang out with.” Randy Thompson, 12, adds, “This is the most eventful thing the seniors has done as a class this year.” Many seniors believe that there should be more events together before graduation on May 24th.
