8th grade and High School students are reminded to be sure to log on to Infinite Campus and enter their High School Course selections for next year. The registration portal is open all week and will close Monday, February 20th.

Global Ethos student travelers headed to Nicaragua this summer will meet for our regularly schedule preparation meeting on Wednesday at 3:15 in room 501.

Social Justice Solidarity Network will meet in room 501 on Monday morning during advisory. See Mr. Evan Smith for a pass beforehand.

The middle school student council is seeking first its first anti-hate speech multimedia contest. The deadline is today. Entries must be handed to or emailed to Ms. Oyola or Ms. Zeisset.

The Dismantling White Supremacy Poster Art Contest is underway. The contest has two parts: a digital poster of a historical person or organization who fought white supremacy and a one page essay about their accomplishments. There are cash prizes for winners, and a chance to feature in the Blue Black exhibition at the Pulitzer Art Museum, curated by Glen Ligon. See Mr. Evan Smith, Ms. Sobotka or Mr. Dinwiddie by this Friday, 2/17 to sign up.

The next Gay-Straight Alliance meeting is next Tuesday, February 21 from 3:15 to 4:15 in room 113.

Congratulations to the Expression yearbook staff. The 2016 yearbook received 415 out of a possible 500 points from the National Scholastic Press Association, earning a First Class rating. There are still limited copies of the 2017 yearbook available for $35. Order soon before they’re all gone! Order yours here.

Congratulations to junior Gabrelle Ishmon. She was accepted to the High School Performing Arts Summer Conservatory at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles. For two weeks, she will study vocal music with an emphasis in musical theatre.
