Students, teachers participate in lip sync battle to fund HERstory

Aiya Hunter, Staff Writer

On Friday March 8, there was a lip sync battle between students, staff, and a mix of both. Students purchased one dollar tickets to attend the battle during block B8. Junior Paul Hollis hosted the event.

“Our two hosts that we had unfortunately dropped out and had other business to do. I was thinking to myself who can I get to host? Then I was like, me, cause ain’t nobody gon’ do it like me,” Hollis said.

All of the proceeds went to help reimburse the teachers involved with the HERstory museum and catering for the event. Both middle school and high school students attended and participated in the lip sync battle.
