“Our system is very, very racist against people of different ethnic groups, and it needs to be changed…We could have community police, therefore we’d get to know the officers, because we have a lack of communication with our police officers nowadays. Having that communication barrier is what has been really prohibiting us from connecting with our cops, and this is why it seems like most African Americans are so anti-police, but really it’s more like anti police brutality.”-Alexander Hughes-Troupe, sophomore
