“I got attracted to it because I heard that it was gonna be an artist space, and I thought it was really neat. It was in the Delmar Loop and I was thinking alright I’ll give it a try.” said Niecey Davis, owner of 1Panda Candles.

There are many fabulous attractions in the Delmar Loop.  For example, the St. Louis Walk of Fame, which resembles the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Eateries like El Maguey, Blue Ocean, Which Wich and Three Kings to Froyo, Fitz, Ben and Jerry’s, and Subway. In addition, one of the fabulous attractions in the Delmar Loop is Create Space Generator.

Located at 6323 Delmar Blvd, Create Space Generator used to be an artisan market opened in November 2014 which combined people’s personal company/businesses together and was just called “Create Space”. Create space blends different handmade products [such as jewelry, soaps, and clothes] to attract the public, resembling a flea market. Some of the artists there were Beatrice Allen, who runs her business called Vulandra’s Gems. Niecey Davis, head of her business, 1Panda Candles. As well as one of the owners, Brandon Vaughn and his clothing business, Classic Culture.

Create Space now is a business generator that trains and empowers creators through a six month to one year program. This also makes Create Space more of an attraction so that people beginning their businesses have a good chance to make money. This enables business owners to take their company  to the next level. The owners of Create Space Generator are Brandon Vaughn and Julia Li. Companies in the generator ranges from old businesses such as Vulandra’s Gems, 1Panda Candles, Chris’s Fine Wood, and A touch of Karimah LLC to the new businesses such as Debdragonfly Studio by Deborah Wingate, Doodlestones by Bryan Payne and NHB KnifeWorks by Melody Noels.

The Generator is a great opportunity for art pathway students to learn about different arts, crafting products, and inspire students to become entrepreneurs.
