Kenyatta Hampton, junior
“If I am talking to someone I want to be friends with, I’ll try to say they look like someone I know, when I know that they aren’t that person. Easy way to make a friend.”
Hannah Stern, 9th grade
“I start it off by smiling at someone and I usually try to find something of theirs that I can say something positive about. Usually something sticks out at me and I’ll analyze what they did and get to know them better.”
Jordan Carbrey, sophomore
“I’ll look at someone's book their reading or a food they are eating and flow the conversation with things we have in common.”
Kennedy Finley, 8th grade
“I see the things they have in common with me and ask if they do things after school, and what kind of shoe brands they like, and food.”
Nayla Nava, 7th grade
“I just give them a compliment, I’ll say that I like your shoes or I like your shirt or the hairdo you did. Sometimes, I’ll just smile and wave and vice versa.”
