Today after announcements, all juniors and sophomores must report to the Sun theater after attendance is taken. Students must be in their seats by 8:15am to listen to a presentation by the St. Louis Internship Program. *

Tomorrow, Artists for a cause will meet after school at 4:30pm in Mr. Smith’s choir room, all 1818 course tuition is due by 5pm in order to be eligible to receive college credit, Social Justice will meet in Mr. Evan Smith’s room at 3:15pm, and finally, the winter art show will be held from 5-7pm. Admission is $2 for guests and free for students and teachers.

Students who received an immunization letter must contact the nurse by Friday with an update for shot records.

The Gay Straight Alliance will meet Tuesday, December 6th from 3:15 to 4:00 pm in room 113, in the basement.

We will be participating in Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation competition. If anyone is interested, visit poetryoutloud.org to get more information. The first informational meeting will be Wednesday December 7th in Ms. Sobotka’s room starting at 3:20pm.

Next Friday, December, 9th, the dance department presents “VIBES” the high school winter concert. The performance will be in the Sun Theater at 7pm and will feature ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop and more.Tickets are $5 in advance, and $10 at the door.  The concert is free for faculty with ID. The cost for Students is $3 with ID. Doors open at 6:30. Please visit  here to purchase tickets.  Paper tickets will become available later this week, which can be purchased from Ms. Tate.

Seniors: Partial Attendance applications are available from Mr. Rusty Smith in room B203. The completed form and proof of eligibility must be returned by Dec. 19 or you will not receive partial attendance for second semester.

All High School Students: Any changes to second semester schedules must be made by Dec. 19. See Mr. Rusty Smith, Ms. Snelson or Ms. Kaczmarczyk if you want to change something.

Middle School Secret Santa candy canes will be sold during advisory and lunch. Prices range from $0.50-$1 and will be delivered December 19th-21st.

Global Ethos is taking part in an international service-learning experience in San Ramon, Nicaragua and Oahu, Hawaii and welcomes students. More information will be available at meetings on Sunday, December 4th at 2720 Cherokee St. from 3-4pm and Monday, December 5th at school from 3:30-4:30pm

After weeks of rehearsal, the theater department will present The Laramie Project on December 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 7pm in the black box. Tickets are $10 and are available here. Elyse Luecke spoke with some of the cast members about the performance.

With the semester coming to a close, Dr. Frederickson has a few words he’d like to share about the upcoming art performances and exhibitions this month.
