Do fans adore Harry Styles new single? Adore You

As Harry Styles fans were waiting for his upcoming album drop on Friday, December 13, they were given an early tease of the album. On December 6, Harry dropped a song called ‘Adore You’ along with a music video.

This song is a very upbeat song with various electronic rhythms and melodies mixed with drums, electric guitar, and a pop-y bassline. The song starts with an underground club sound which is something different coming from Harry, but somehow it still works. As a person who doesn’t listen to a ton of pop music, I’ve enjoyed this song a lot and I listen to it on repeat. The first time I listened to the song I was a bit surprised that he dropped something so upbeat and pop, but since it’s extremely different than his past self titled album, ‘Harry Styles,’ I had a fresher, less-biased opinion.

I like that he’s going out of his musical comfort zone and that he’s creating songs like this along with songs that are completely different than this track. His last album was very laid back and calm so this new song is a big change. ‘Adore you’ is the type of song that gets me in a positive mood. It’s what I call a “dance song” which is just a song that gets you up and moving.

Harry Styles’ ‘Adore You’ music video

Harry’s music video for the song a mini-movie that contains the story of a boy who becomes best friends with a fish. The story starts with an extremely happy boy in a dismal town that disowns him. He grows depressed and meets a fish that is also an outcast and takes the fish under his wing. The boy and the fish learn how to be happy again, but the fish starts growing at an alarming rate until the fish has to be released back into the ocean. The fish found the rest of its’ kind and the town found happiness. The first time I heard ‘Adore You’ I was a little bit iffy on if I really connected with the song or not, but once I watched the video I fell in love with the song. I love the meaning behind the video and I think it sends a nice message in a unique way.

Overall, I’m excited for his future tour and what he has set for us in the future!
