Q: Why did you want to learn Korean?
“I was heavily influenced by the Korean pop culture. I wanted to understand it, so I told myself I was going to learn it.
Q: Are you interested just musically wise or are you also interested in the culture?
“Both, because when you start learning other cultures it’s nice to know what the culture is like and it’s respectful.
Q: How did you learn to speak Korean?
“I started with Duolingo in 7th grade, I took a break during covid and started back during my 9th grade year on Rosetta Stone.”
Q: What inspired you to learn Korean?
“I would watch Korean shows, videos, and listening to music. My cousin also speaks Korean and I would like to know what she was saying”.

“Since last summer.”
Q: How fluent are you in Korean?
“I’m more fluent in reading and hearing it than I am in speaking it”
Q: What made you interested in learning Korean?
“I always knew I wanted to learn a different language but I didn’t want to learn a basic language and I was interested in kpop.”
Q: Do you have anyone around you that also speaks Korean?
“Yes, I have a few friends that are more fluent in Korean, but family or everyday wise no.”
Q: Do you want to continue speaking Korean?
“Yes I’m going to continue learning Korean but I also want to learn other languages.”
