Middle School STUCO would like to announce the winners of the #nomorehate contest.

  •         1st place, $30 prize: Josiah Burton – visual art
  •         2nd place, $20 prize: Chima Mbionwu – video
  •         3rd place, $10 prize: Lonnarae Hunt – speech

The GCAA Instrumental Department and IMPACT will showcase Solo and Ensemble on Friday, February 24th, 7pm at Third Baptist Church. Doors open at 6:30. Tickets for dinner and the show will be $10/plate and $7.50 for kids 12 and under. For show only, adults are $5, and kids are $3.

Global Ethos student travelers headed to Nicaragua this summer will meet for their regularly scheduled preparation meeting on Wednesday at 3:15 in room 501.

Social Justice Solidarity Network will meet in room 501 on Monday morning during advisory. See Mr. Evan Smith for a pass beforehand.

The Dismantling White Supremacy Poster Art Contest is underway. See Mr. Evan Smith in room 501 if you are still interested but were unable to sign up last Friday, and stay tuned for an announcement about an afterschool digital media workshop to assist with your poster. Don’t forget the cash prizes and a chance to feature in the Pulitzer Arts Museum.

For all returning 6th and 7th grade students, but NOT current 8th grade students, there will be a Parent/Student evening assembly to inform everyone on the course selection for next year, the new advance placement process for skipping a course or grade and the new registration process on March 1, 2017 at 7pm in the Sun Theater. Please encourage your parents/guardians to attend.

Interest group will meet tomorrow from 3:15 to 4:15 in Mr. Stegmann’s room, B200.
